University of New Mexico Interstitial Lung Disease Program
In a state with a particularly high mortality rate from ILD and with a population that has a large proportion of minorities and underserved communities, the University of New Mexico ILD Program, offers guidance to community pulmonologists and primary care providers via a collaborative ILD team from multiple disciplines including pulmonary medicine, chest radiology, rheumatology, occupational lung disease and pulmonary hypertension. The University of New Mexico is home for the ECHO institute in the United States, which has led tele-mentoring initiatives in many health topics since 2003.
