The physicians at BIDMC ILD Center have years of both clinical and research experience. Tremendous emphasis is placed upon availability to patients and communication with referring or co-managing physicians. A team of experienced practitioners, including pulmonologists, pathologists, radiologists, thoracic surgeons and physical therapists expert in pulmonary rehabilitation, allows the optimization of care for individuals with ILD. In addition, BIDMC pulmonary division participates extensively in clinical trials pertaining to interstitial lung diseases.

The Interstitial Lung Disease Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital brings together a unique multidisciplinary team of physicians including rheumatologists, pulmonologists, pathologists, and radiologists, dedicated to providing specialized care for patients with interstitial lung disease.

The Interstitial Lung Disease Center at Massachusetts General Hospital specializes in diagnosing and treating the full spectrum of interstitial lung diseases, including pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, and less common disorders such as lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH), and cryptogenic organizing pneumonia (COP). A comprehensive patient care at the center also has the ability to address complications of these disorders (e.g. pulmonary hypertension) that can greatly compromise quality of life.

The Rhode Island Hospital Interstitial Lung Disease Program, affiliated with the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, specializes in providing compassionate, comprehensive care to persons with interstitial lung diseases. We take a state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary approach to ILDs, relying on a team of experienced pulmonologists, thoracic radiologists, pulmonary pathologists and thoracic surgeons to provide the most accurate diagnosis and best treatment plan for each individual patient.

The Interstitial Lung Disease Center at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center provides highly individualized and attentive care to those with a broad array of interstitial diseases. The physicians at the center work closely with colleagues from all medical disciplines to design evaluations and treatment plans that are specific to a patient’s needs. A priority of the clinic is to collaborate in the care of patients with referring primary care physicians and pulmonologists.

In a state with a particularly high mortality rate from ILD and with a population that has a large proportion of minorities and underserved communities, the University of New Mexico ILD Program, offers guidance to community pulmonologists and primary care providers via a collaborative ILD team from multiple disciplines including pulmonary medicine, chest radiology, rheumatology, occupational lung disease and pulmonary hypertension.
